Technology Equipment Purchase Procedure

Recommended and Supported End-Point Technology

ITS tests and verifies hardware functionality to maintain support of our standard images across the college. Below are our recommendations should a department determine a need and approval to purchase additional or replacement hardware.

  • Administrative - Administrative imaged computers
  • Academic - Academic imaged computers
  • Training - WEDD & Corporate College imaged computers
  • Student - Student Loaner imaged devices
  • Any Use - Can apply to any of the above

ITS User Services (Desktop Support) is the trusted advisor for all college endpoint device purchases.

What is an Endpoint device?  An endpoint device is a network-capable computer hardware device. The term refers to Desktop computers, laptopsTablets, Thin-Clients, Printers or other specialized hardware such as POS terminals, card readers, etc.

If your department has a need to purchase an Endpoint device, please contact us first:

  1. Submit an EGS Technology Equipment Request (https://portal2.tri-c.edu/EGS/NewRequest/NewTechnologyEquipment)
  2. Obtain a quote for the appropriate equipment you want to purchase.
  3. Complete a My Tri-C Buy Purchase Requisition and attach both the Quote and a copy of the ITS approved EGS form.
